Adding a mirror to an existing or new room can dramatically change and improve it's aesthetic feel. Mirrors add light and can create an illusion making the space appear much larger than it actually is. Mirrors are also a great idea to install if you have an existing view from your window and want to see more of it.

Having a broken mirror at your home or commercial property can be dangerous and unsightly. Because mirrors are generally located within close proximity to human traffic, having a mirror break can pose serious OH & S risks.

Some of the most common breakages for domestic sites are mirror wardrobes, bathroom mirrors, wall mirrors and mirror ceilings. In commercial sites a common mirror breakage problem is generally in the lifts but also on structural support column mirrors and mirrors in amenity areas. Retail sites often experience problems with scratched mirrors as well.

What is mirror made from?

Mirror is made of high quality annealed glass and backed with a silver coating protected by baked enamel paint. It is the silver coating on the glass which gives it the reflectivity you are used to seeing. Mirrors are available in a range of tints, special finishes and safety glass types.
